NEW Outdoor Water ScheduleJun 10, 2020
Hays County WCIDs No. 1 and No. 2 each have a Wholesale Water Service Agreement with West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) to provide Belterra with drinking water. Included in the agreement is a “Maximum Day Reservation” which allows each District a certain amount of water per day. If Belterra exceeds the reservation in a single day, the WTCPUA will bill Belterra a surcharge. Therefore, it’s extremely important that we make every effort to stay within our daily water reservation. In order to help ensure this, we are making changes to the outdoor water schedule effective July 1, 2020.
The current outdoor water schedule was designed by the WTCPUA and is determined by ending address odd and even numbers. This method does not allow us to evenly distribute the watering days as most of the homes in Belterra end with odd numbers.
The new schedule is based on the individual neighborhood of each residence, allowing us to distribute the irrigation water usage throughout the entire community more evenly. We are working on preparing maps that will help you determine what days are assigned to your neighborhood. Below is a list of watering days for each neighborhood for your reference. We will be updating the Hayswcid.org website soon with additional details.
