Welcome to Hays County WCID 2
Hays County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 (the "District") is a WCID created in 2001 by order of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The District contains approximately 970 acres of land and is located in Hays County.
The District has constructed and operates water, sanitary sewer, and drainage facilities to serve its residents.
The mission of the HAYS COUNTY WCID NO. 1 & 2 is to provide reliable, low-cost utility services and quality parks, contributing to a higher quality of life for Belterra residents.
- Maintain the District’s Superior Public Water System rating
- Provide for payment and satisfaction of the District's existing debt and contract obligations
- Protect investments into all District infrastructure by actively maintaining and improving existing systems
- Comply with all legal requirements, bond covenants, and contractual obligations of the District
- Improve customer satisfaction
- Reduce taxes
- Provide the highest possible park services
Winter Storm Clean Up
Hays County WCID No. 1 and No. 2 (Hays WCID) is providing resources to residents that have suffered tremendous damages to their homes due to ice and snow over the past week.
Wastewater Plant Update and Clarification
As some residents are aware, there is a news article on KXAN.com regarding Hays County WCID and an overflow at the WCID 1 wastewater plant.
Winter Storm Clean Up Resources
Thousands of residents around the Austin area have suffered tremendous damages due the ice and snow over the past week. For many of us these circumstances can be very devastating. We can and have come together as a community to help those impacted.
Trash Service and Wastewater Update
Trash Service will resume as normal on Wednesday, February 24th. TDS will pick up all normal trash plus 2 extra bags. We are currently working on a solution for construction trash/tree damage and will provide an update early next week.
Afraid You Might Have Pipe Damage?
If you find you have a pipe that has burst, you can attempt to turn the water off with the customer water shut-off valve on the line/pipe that enters your home.
